Terms of Use
By using Aevia, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
These Terms apply to your access to and use of Aevia. Aevia is one personal and household assistant. WhatsApp is the primary Beta V1 interaction surface, but it does not define Aevia.
1. Beta access and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Aevia during Beta V1.
Submitting Join Beta records your interest. It does not create an account, guarantee access or automatically admit you to the beta.
Beta access is granted through founder-controlled approval or invitation. Aevia may restrict, suspend or revoke beta access where necessary to operate the beta, protect users, address misuse or comply with applicable requirements.
Beta-access revocation is separate from STOP, household membership changes and account closure. Re-entry after beta-access revocation requires a new approval or invitation.
The beta may contain incomplete features, errors, interruptions or changes. Features may be added, limited, changed or removed during the beta.
2. Identity and account responsibilities
You must provide accurate information and keep access to your account and linked communication endpoints secure.
Tell Aevia if you believe your account, identity or linked WhatsApp endpoint has been compromised or connected incorrectly.
Aevia may require identity or account-linking steps before using private context, household information or completing a sensitive request.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account or linked endpoint unless you have told Aevia that access may be unauthorized.
3. Household information and other people
Only share information about another person, invite someone to a household or act for another person when you have the necessary permission or authority.
Permission to contact someone does not grant:
- household authority;
- sharing authority;
- action authority; or
- consent on behalf of that person.
Personal context is private by default. Household information is used or shared only within the permissions given.
A household invitation does not make the invited person a household member until the required acceptance and identity-linking steps are complete.
4. Medical and medication safety
Aevia is not a doctor, healthcare provider, medical monitor, adherence verifier, or emergency service.
Do not use Aevia for diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment decisions, medication changes, or emergencies.
Aevia may remember or help you follow up on information you choose to share, such as something you want to ask a healthcare professional or a reminder you have requested.
You remain responsible for independently verifying medication names, timing, instructions and other medical information with an appropriate qualified healthcare professional.
Do not use Aevia to start, stop or change the dosage of any medicine or treatment.
5. Meal planning and nutrition
Aevia may use information you provide, including dietary preferences, calorie or macronutrient targets, and estimated daily energy requirements, to help personalize meal planning.
These calculations, targets and suggestions are estimates for planning purposes and are not medical or clinical nutrition advice.
Aevia does not guarantee:
- calorie accuracy;
- macronutrient accuracy;
- exact energy-expenditure estimates;
- weight-loss, weight-gain or other health outcomes;
- suitability for a medical or therapeutic diet.
Independently verify:
- allergies;
- intolerances;
- medically required diets;
- ingredient substitutions;
- nutrition information where accuracy materially matters.
For medical or therapeutic dietary needs, follow advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
6. WhatsApp permission, STOP and re-consent
When you give the required permission, Aevia may send proactive or business-initiated WhatsApp messages to the relevant endpoint.
Replying STOP immediately withdraws that permission for the endpoint.
STOP does not:
- close your account;
- delete your Person record;
- delete your private context or history;
- remove household membership; or
- act as a correction, context-removal or account-closure request.
After STOP, messages you initiate may still receive responses. Aevia must receive explicit re-consent before resuming proactive or business-initiated messages to that endpoint.
A one-time reminder that becomes due while proactive messaging permission is withdrawn is not sent. It is not sent later merely because you re-consent.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Aevia:
- for unlawful, deceptive, abusive or harmful activity;
- to infringe another person’s rights;
- to impersonate another person or claim authority you do not have;
- to obtain unauthorized access to an account, endpoint or household;
- to defeat identity, consent, privacy or household-permission controls;
- to interfere with the service or its security; or
- as the sole means of completing an urgent, safety-critical or emergency action.
8. Information and instructions you provide
You are responsible for the information, instructions and content you provide to Aevia.
You must have the necessary rights, permission or authority to provide information about another person.
You allow Aevia to process the information you provide as needed to operate the service, follow your instructions and permissions, provide support, maintain safety and security, and administer the beta, subject to the Privacy Policy.
9. STOP, corrections, context removal and account closure
The following actions are separate:
STOP
STOP withdraws proactive or business-initiated WhatsApp permission for an endpoint. It does not delete information or close an account.
Correction or supersession
You may ask Aevia to correct inaccurate information or replace it with updated information.
Specific personal-context removal
You may ask Aevia to remove or suppress identified personal context from future use where applicable.
Specific-context removal does not close your account or Person record. It preserves unrelated context and does not remove household access unless your request separately requires a household change.
Account closure
Account closure is a founder- or operator-assisted process. There is no self-service account-deletion function.
Closure disables Aevia from carrying out applicable Product actions for the account, including applicable reminders, routing and eligibility. Active personal data is suppressed or de-identified where applicable.
The minimum evidence required for safety, security, consent, provider reconciliation or audit purposes may remain.
If a backup is restored, Aevia must reconcile it against the deletion ledger before affected Product execution can resume.
Aevia does not promise:
- a fixed completion time;
- complete physical erasure from every system or backup; or
- removal of aggregate analytics that no longer identify a person.
Closing an account does not automatically delete a household or another person’s information.
Instructions for these requests are available at /data-deletion.
10. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what information Aevia handles, why it is used, how personal and household context are separated, when information may be shared, and the choices available to you.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
11. Service availability and external services
Aevia may depend on communications, hosting, identity, analytics and other external services.
Messages, reminders and other actions may be delayed, duplicated, unavailable or fail because of technical problems, connectivity or external-service behavior.
You remain responsible for checking important information and completing time-sensitive actions.
Aevia does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability during the beta.
12. Suspension and beta-access revocation
Aevia may restrict, suspend or revoke access to:
- protect users or the service;
- enforce these Terms;
- respond to misuse or security risks;
- comply with applicable requirements; or
- operate or conclude the beta.
Suspension or beta-access revocation does not by itself delete information, close an account, change household membership or withdraw WhatsApp permission.
13. Changes to these Terms
Aevia may update these Terms as the service changes.
The published Terms will state when an updated version takes effect and how material changes will be communicated or accepted where required.
